Hey there, I’m Annette Bechtold, the brains and heart behind Forte Consulting Atlanta! You might be wondering how a self-proclaimed non-team sports enthusiast ended up founding a coaching business, right? Well, let me take you on a quick journey.
Originating from the Chicago area, I kickstarted my career in the wild world of insurance claims. Back then, computers were more like glorified file cabinets than the thinking machines we know today. Fast forward a bit, and I found myself in a supervisory role, ready to rock the world after some killer training – or so I thought.
Promotion day came, and surprise! No training, no manual. Just more responsibilities and fewer tools. Talk about a plot twist! But hey, life’s full of surprises, right?
Fast forward again to a stint in volunteer leadership at my church, and coaching entered the scene. It was like finding a missing puzzle piece. The light bulb went off, and I told my husband, “This is what I’m supposed to be doing.”
And voila, Forte Consulting Atlanta was born! Why? Because I realized that while everyone talks about training for tasks, not many focus on equipping leaders. So, I decided to change that narrative.
